Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use certification.app. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider. Let us know promptly at support@certification.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

certification.app helps you record continuing education (CE/CEU) credits, store certificates, and see how your logged hours compare against the requirements we have on file for a profession and state. That information is provided for convenience only.

• It is not legal, regulatory, or board advice. See our CE disclaimer.
• It does not submit renewals or communicate with your licensing board on your behalf.
• It does not guarantee that a course, provider, or category will be accepted by your board.
• Requirement data may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors. You must verify it independently.

If you spot something that looks wrong in our requirement data, please report a rule issue — it genuinely helps.

You are solely responsible for understanding, meeting, and proving your continuing education and license requirements. Before each renewal, you must independently confirm the current requirements, deadlines, and acceptable credit types with your licensing board. You should keep your own copies of completion certificates and records. We are not responsible for missed deadlines, rejected credits, lapsed licenses, audits, fines, or other consequences arising from your reliance on the service.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others.
• Upload content you don't have the right to upload, or that contains malware.
• Attempt to access other users' data, or probe, scan, or disrupt the service.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute our requirement data except as expressly permitted.

You keep ownership of the data and files you submit (such as license details, CE history, and certificates). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating the service for you. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Some features require a paid subscription. Prices, billing intervals, and trial terms are shown at checkout and are handled by our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time through your billing settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

The service may include links to third-party courses and providers, some of which earn us a commission. This never changes the price you pay. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that requirement data is accurate or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, certification.app and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of licensure, profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. You can request export or deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
